Inspired by the centuries-old tradition of Ajrak, this hijab is named “ajrak”and is our interpretation of one of Pakistan’s most enduring textile arts. Rooted in the heritage of Sindh, the print draws from the intricate motifs, rich tones, and craftsmanship that have been passed down through generations.
For Desi Archive, we wanted to create more than a traditional Ajrak print. We wanted to preserve its origins while reimagining it for women carrying their culture across the world. The result is a piece that feels both familiar and contemporary, honouring the artistry of the past while fitting effortlessly into modern wardrobes.
Thoughtfully designed in Pakistan, Ajrak reflects our slow fashion approach: creating intentional pieces in limited quantities, with a focus on craftsmanship, longevity, and cultural preservation.
